Trey McGruder
CEO
A native of Paducah, Texas – Trey received his bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Doane University in 2015. He later received his master’s in Public Administration in 2019 from Purdue University Global. Trey has many years of experience in working with families and helping them grow and succeed. No matter if it was as a Family Support Specialist, Finance Advisor, or Student Success Manager–his goal in life has always been to help people become the best version of themselves, and he is always encouraging people to stay positive! In his spare time, he loves going on walks with his wife and their two kids, and he is very active in his church. His favorite quote is, “Never give up HOPE, your miracle could be right around the corner! Always stay positive!”
Hailey McGruder
Administrative Director
Hailey graduated from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln in 2016 with her bachelor’s degree in English Education. She has spent the past six years teaching 10th grade English at Lincoln High School and teaching reading at the Juvenile Detention Center. As a former teacher, she knows that healthy families are the foundation of society. She believes that strengthening and healing families is essential for building a better tomorrow for all people. Hailey is currently working on her master’s degree in curriculum and instruction and certification in social and emotional learning at Doane University. She is experienced in trauma-informed care, including restorative principles and practices as well as HR management. In her free time, she loves to read and spend time with her husband and two children. Her favorite quote is by Eleanor Roosevelt: “To handle yourself, use your head; to handle others, use your heart.”
LisaMaria Guevara
Southeast Service Area Manager
LisaMaria graduated with her bachelor’s in human relations in 2011 and has had the pleasure of serving families for the past 19 years in human services in Nebraska. Her experience includes working with local Native American tribal entities, domestic violence advocacy, mental health and substance abuse work, as well as support work such as skillbuilding and family support. LisaMaria is a problem solver, as well as a transformational leader, which is what makes her unique. She is also bilingual. With her experience, and huge heart, she is such a huge asset to the mission at A Blessing of Hope. In her free time she likes to get outdoors as much as possible, you can find her camping, kayaking, or riding her bicycle on the local trails!
Tori Magilton
Eastern Service Area Manager
Tori Magilton has worked in the human services field since 2018, and according to her she has loved every minute of it! She was previously a supervisor for an IDD day service until she joined A Blessing of Hope as a Family Support Specialist. Tori excelled as a Family Support Specialist and displayed a lot of leadership qualities which led to her promotion. Tori always goes above and beyond for her team, and is a servant leader. “The rewards are endless and I continue to learn new things to help myself, my team, and our clients everyday! I am beyond blessed,” says Tori. Our clients constantly refer to her as a blessing in their life! In her free time Tori loves spending time with her family and working on DIY projects!
Rachel Brown-Schroeder
HR & Training Specialist
Rachel completed her bachelor’s degree from the University of Nebraska in Psychology with a minor in Sociology in 2005, and her masters in Industrial Psychology from Bellevue University in 2022. Rachel has a wide range of experience that includes being a Child Family Service case manager for the State of Nebraska for 8 years, many years of experience as a Family Support Specialist; as well as many years of experience as a Corporate Trainer for Pathfinders Inc, and Better Living Counseling Inc. Rachel’s most recent position before A Blessing of Hope was the Assistant Director for Northeast KinderCare for two years. Rachel brings great servant leadership, compassion, and faith to A Blessing of Hope, and loves helping the families of Nebraska. In her free time- she loves spending time with her husband, and their kids, and is a HUGEEE Husker football fan.
